No, it will not distort you screen, what made you think that? Unless you smash your screen with the magnets, then maybe, yes but we do not reccomend it.
You put your right foot and put your right foot, you do the hokey pokey and take a small piece of dental floss two to three times the width of the mount. Then, slowly run it through the mount and dashboard. 3M adhesive is strong enough to hold the mount in place but will not damage the area you adhere it to. You can skip the hokey pokey part if you want.
